On this date in 1945, the president of the United States of America, dies a mere 4 weeks before VE-Day, and never lives to see the demise of the hated fuhrer and his reign of terror on the entire world, nor the final end of WWII, later in August.

 

It was a very somber day in the United States and across the world.
