We had Lee's mom's Memorial Service this past weekend, and it was very lovely. Many of you know she passed on a few months ago.
I created a slideshow in her honor. It includes photos from the 30's and 40's - pre-dad! ha-ha!
My two sister-in-laws created lovely collage boards which were displayed at the hall, and featured many photos I had never even seen before. It was great.
Here's the link to my slide show. It's a photodex presentation, so it may require a small/safe download to your computer first.
Enjoy!

Kushner Restoration Pavilion
http://www.nola.com/military/index.ssf/2010/07/national_world_war_ii_museum_a.html
On Saturday, June 4, 2011, The National WWII Museum will officially cut the ribbon on the next milestone in our expansion — the John E. Kushner Restoration Pavilion.
The Kushner Pavilion is the new home of the Museum’s PT-305 boat while it is restored, and will offer visitors the chance to watch this important restoration as it happens. In addition, the Pavilion will house a wood shop and designated areas for welding, painting and exhibit fabrication.
To celebrate the grand opening, we will offer Museum visitors free behind-the-scenes tours of the Kushner Pavilion every half-hour on Saturday, June 4 beginning at 11:00 am with the last tour at 4:30 pm. There will also be educational activity stations and special artifacts and exhibits on display.
Kushner Pavilion tour tickets are available at the main ticket desk located in the Louisiana Memorial Pavilion and are free with regular Museum admission. Tickets are first-come, first-served.
ChevronThis is another important step in our journey to expand The National WWII Museum so that we can tell the full story of the American Experience in the war that changed the world. We are so excited to celebrate this milestone, and hope that you can join us for this special day.
Special thanks to Chevron, our sponsor for the John E. Kushner Restoration Pavilion Grand Opening.
