  A question to the experts....

A question to the experts ....

a little time ago, I bought a pair of infantry collar discs. Have been sold to me for original WWII, but they are white gold plated ...

Someone told me that the silver collar discs, they all came after WWII. From the war in Korea, forward... is correct?

Thanks for the help

Enry

Hello everyone,

after a long time, I post a picture of a Social Security card, found by my friend in the area of Monterenzio (near Bologna).

A friend of mine asked me if I could find some more information, and I turn to you this request :D

Thanks in advance for the help

Enry

  D-Day The Normandy Invasion
Posted by: sixgun - 04-11-2011, 03:23 PM - Forum: Famous/not so famous Audio & Video Clips from the War - No Replies

WWII DOCU *** June 6, 1944 has gone down in history as D-day, the beginning of the end of World War II. Codenamed Operation Overlord, the Normandy Invasion took the German Army completely by surprise, as American, British, Canadian and Allied soldiers from all over the world stormed the beaches of France and began the liberation of Europe. This documentary not only examines the operation in a strategic context, but also focuses on many smaller scale stories of courage and heroism like the acquisition of Pegasus bridge, the wondeful welcome given by the newly liberated french, the brave rangers at Ponte du Hoc and the desperate battle for Omaha beach.
