Hey guys and gals!
Here's a real interesting story, and it features one of our own, Jim Hennessey.
This blog begins with:
Colinette Gordon Compton shared childhood memories of growing up during World War II in her native town of Stone, England. An American Field Hospital was set up in the town of Stone, near Coventry, and for two years American servicemen lived in the town. She has happy memories of sharing the family home, and daily life, with six American Doctors, and their six aides.
She brought a large basket of chocolate candy to the meeting and said she was "giving back" for all the chocolate she received as a girl from American soldiers.

Oops, first time on the forum today. Sorry Reg, but was a bit busy with things at Fort Leonard Wood. Hey, I gotta have priorities.
Anyway, wanted to wish you a great Belgian birthday!!!!

Yesterday I was going to see my spine doctor and coming out of the inner office was an elderly gentleman. He had his hands filled with his cane and a bag full of paperwork, so I held the door open for him. When he got close I noticed he was wearing a WWII hat with the ship he had served on. When he got to the door he said "Thank You" I said "No, thank you" He loked puzzled and I said, "I noticed your WWII hat and wanted to thank you for your service" He gave me a big smile and said "OH Thank You!!"
