  Company C 338th Engr
Posted by: jeansamsmom - 03-24-2015, 05:32 PM - Forum: LOOKING FOR... - Replies (1)

New to this forum. My dad (Thomas Osbourn) was in Naples, Rome, No Appennines and PO Valley. I'm trying to find someone who was or is related to someone who may served with him. His discharge papers give Co C 338th Engr. He departed on April 29, 1943 and arrived at NATO on May 12, 1943. Also listed is specialty of AA Machine gunner. He was discharged on November 12, 1945.

Looking for Lt Arthur Peternell - 48th Engineer
Posted by: Walt's Daughter - 03-23-2015, 01:04 PM - Forum: WWII ENGINEERS - Replies (2)

Hi everyone:

My friend, Ed Saraniero (48th Engineer), called me this weekend and was wondering if Lt Arthur Peternell was still alive. I sent a letter to everyone on my 48th email list, and wanted to post this here too.

I hope I can give him an answer and if he is no longer with us, maybe I can put him in touch with Arthur's family.

Many thanks,

Today 70 years ago the 237th Engineer Combat Battalion construted the bridge across the Rhine: 398.7 m in 10 hours. With this Performance they won a bet against Gen. Collins and a lot of beer.

VI Corps Jukebox revamped March 2015
Posted by: Walt's Daughter - 03-17-2015, 08:04 PM - Forum: MARION'S NEWS n UPDATES n BABBLINGS... - No Replies

Well after three long weeks, I finally completed my revamp of my VI Corps Jukebox, featuring the great music of WWII, which is dedicated to my mom and dad. It's kind of fitting seeing that it's the tenth anniversary of the site. Wow, where has the time gone?!

Many thanks to all my listeners from virtually every continent on the face of the earth. I appreciate all the wonderful fan mail and music and suggestions. Here's to ten more!!
