Comments: My grandfather served in WWII (enlisted 6/1943) in the A. 643 Engineers (C) BN, is what the paperwork says. He was stationed in Italy. I am in the process of finding out more about his service. Any suggestions about where to look would be appreciated. I have located his name and some information on the National Archives.gov website. I would like to learn what unit he was in but have not acquired his DD214 yet. Thanks
Comments: My father Daniel A. Corrigan was with the 720th Railway Operations Batallion. He passed away in December of 1999 and didn't share very much of his experiences. I am looking for anything I can find about his unit. This is a wonderful web site. I wish he were able to brouse through it with me. Thank you.

Comments: Hello I am the grandson of Cpl.Archie Lee Peek. He was member of the 36th. He served from its inception until his discharge after the war. He would not talk much about his time in the service but what he did say he passed down to me. He passed on in Nov 2007. I miss him dearly. I appreciate those who help keep the memory and history of the 36th alive. You help keep his memory alive also. Thank you to all those who served and sacrificed so I may live free.

Sadly, we lost him to leukemia in July 2008.
Thanks for wonderful memories!
